Gerry grew up in Gary. Indiana-the youngest of tweive children in a hard working family. His father retried from Inland Steel, his mother taught at a local elementary school, and togather they built a home rooted in love and perseverance. But the streets outside told a different story.
At just twelve years old. Gerry fell into addiction-alcohol and drugs became a dangerous comfort in a city where escape was rare and opportunity even rarer. For years, he battled those demons urtil one pivotal decision in 1991. he left Gary, hoping that distance might deliver transformation.
Minnesota became that new chapter. It wasn’t easy, but it was a start. Years later, through a friend’s guidance. He found faith, clarity, and strength-tools not just to survive, but to rebuild.
And from that connection, Still Grind Coffee was born.
It’s more than a brand-It’S a movement built on second chances, faith, and forward motion. Eyery bean roasted represents two worlds meeting, the strongth of African soil and the grit of American streets.
